“All about perspective” for ladies at Sheringham church

2018: Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham held their annual Ladies Day on Saturday January 27, with an inspirational talk by guest speaker Helen Roberts.

Sue Savory, from Lighthouse, gives her perspective on the day:

“Following on from our very successful 2016 Ladies Day ‘For Such a Time as this,’ we were thrilled to welcome our guest Helen Roberts to lead this year’s event last Saturday. The title for the day ‘It’s all about perspective,’ encouraged us to begin again to see things more clearly than we’ve ever seen them before through a heavenly Father who loves us, and wants to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of people around us.

Helen Roberts 365CF“Helen challenged us to answer question ‘Am I satisfied with the way things are or is there more for me?’ There is always more of God to experience for each one of us.  If we want to live in the new, we must press on into Jesus.  The word of God is essential because it gives us the best perspective for our lives because that’s where Jesus is.

“The whole ethos of the day was for ladies to relax and enjoy each other’s company, to meet up with old friends and to meet new ones.  The seventy-plus ladies who attended also had the luxury of having their lunch ably served by the Lighthouse Fellas who cooked, served and washed up!

“Our thanks to all who made the day so successful!  We look forward to doing it all again next year!”

Helen Roberts serves on the senior leadership team at Wellspring Community Church in Watford, and her role as Executive Minister sees her overseeing the senior management team, encouraging staff in their roles to mobilise scores of volunteers engaged in many life-changing ministries.  She is an inspiring communicator who loves to help people step into greater freedom as followers of Christ.
