Soprano duo start on a high note at Wymondham 

For the first time, two outstanding Norfolk sopranos, Emma Nuule and Catherine Joule, are coming together to perform a charity concert.

The concert is taking place in Wymondham at Alive Church, Central Hall, 6A Back Lane, NR18 0QB at 7.30pm on Saturday July 23. Tickets are £5 on the door. 
 
Emma Nuule is a passionate cross-over singer who has become known recently for her classical work. Her career took off in 2014 after she won a global talent competition called Sercos Got Talent. She was mentored for the competition by Carrie and David Grant and competed against talent from all over the world in Trafalgar Square. Winning gave her access to expert training, especially on the physical side of singing, which enabled her to develop her technique.
 
Since then, Emma has sung at events such as The Global Pulse Awards in Westminster, the closing ceremony for The Royal Norfolk Show, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Norwich, the Last night of the Proms for Wymondham Abbey and a New Year’s Day concert with Norwich Pop orchestra. She has also performed in several shows at Theatre Royal in Norwich such as Fiddler on the Roof, the Norwich Pantomime and Carousel. She did her exams with the board of the Guildhall School of Music.

Catherine Joule is a classically trained soprano whose repertoire includes choral, contemporary and musical theatre. She graduated from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music with a post-graduate certificate in vocal performance. She was awarded Mark Devine performance prize from Anglia Ruskin University. She has also performed in the Butt by Susie Self, an opera commissioned as part of the contemporary music festival in Vienna. 
 
Part of the proceeds of the concert will go to a charity project being set up by Emma in Namibia whose aim to create a performing arts centre for young people in a deprived area of Windhoek.
 
The concert is also supporting a project at Alive Church in Wymondham called Butterflies. This is a group for mostly vulnerable women to meet, enjoy coffee, crafts and just an opportunity to relax in a welcoming environment. The church is looking to raise some funds to be able to provide more activities for the ladies and there may be a social event over Christmas.
