Empower training equips for the extraordinary

Hope Church Wymondham invites you to try their life changing empower course offered daytime on Fridays from October.
 

'Empower' is a training program run by Hope Community Church in Wymondham designed to equip and embolden Christians to deepen their faith and actively demonstrate God's Kingdom in their daily lives. Building on the church's ten-year history of running its School of Supernatural Life, the program focuses on spiritual growth, worship, practical teaching, activating spiritual gifts, and outreach.

It offers an in-depth daytime course held on Fridays. The effect of the School has been profound for many of its students, explains associate team leader Ben Watkins. "One of my favourite moments each year is hearing the stories from our students about what difference Empower has made to their lives."

One lady shared: “This has been a life change for me. I didn’t know my identity and that has been the most impacting. I now know the power and authority I have in Jesus. The great commission has become exciting rather than daunting.”

Another shared about the difference the people and programme has made to his marriage and his closeness to God. Ben said, "There was barely a dry eye in the house. He was truly a different guy from the one we met in September 2025."

Another participant said, “I’ve loved every minute of it. The teaching has been amazing, the people so lovely and encouraging. This year has given me so much more than I imagined.” 

Ben said, "For over 10 years we’ve heard story after story of lives transformed by going on this journey. Some travel for over an hour to be here, men and women from Sheringham, Lowestoft, Kings Lynn, Thetford to give time to what matters most - becoming more like Jesus. 

So on Friday 2nd October we would love people to come and try it out for themselves."

Empower Daytime

An encouraging and equipping community is created at Empower so that people can immerse themselves and be transformed by the power of Jesus’ presence and word.
Over the 25 Fridays time is given to enjoying worship, sharing good news stories of what God is doing, unpacking the scriptures, practicing Spiritual gifts, stepping out in evangelism on the streets, eating together, discussing and praying for one another in dedicated groups. 
There is a team of experienced men and women who love to get alongside the students, nurture, challenge and bring the best out of them.

Daytime Rivers

The Friday daytime course runs for 25 weeks from October until the middle of May. “It promises to be a life-changing journey of growing in intimacy with your Father, your identity in Christ and being impacted by Holy Spirit,” said Ben.
 
“We have Year 1 (Kingdom Foundations) and Year 2 (Kingdom Influence) options. This is a superb space to invest in your walk with Jesus and grow with like-minded people.”
 
Cost: £510 per student or £800 for a couple.
